Great, Nancy, I'm glad you are pleased with that choice. I don't think BP has a printing deal worked out as of right now that I know of, he will be setting up a page for this so we can buy them.

BP, I wanted to mention that if you do end up deciding to go with a 13" wide format such as what ProZ and I have been talking about, it will most likely be done on a Xerox iGen printer...here are a few things to know:

1. Ask them to print it to fit across the 13" paper in "portrait" orientation. It will have a few inches or so at the bottom and/or top, so ask them to trim it evenly top and bottom to match the sides.

2. Ask them to use the tiff file of the single portrait version of the calendar and fit it to the print.

3. If it is printed on an iGen, semi-gloss or satin paper, 100# (that's pronounced 100-pound) cover stock would look great.

If you go full-size, the 2 set across a 50" roll like I talked about earlier, I'd see about pricing photo imaging gloss or satin paper. That stuff isn't cheap but it looks sexy as all get-out.

That flash stick has everything on it a printer would need to do BOTH if you wanted...

If I can be of any help with printing tips, me and Gary know the drill.

Cheers,
WC1

WOW, This is cool guys. I somehow missed this thread, but I am flattered you put my car on the calender.
I don't have time to read the whole thread right now but I do want to get some of these when they are ready.
I do have one question, is it too late to use a different photo? I had the Draglist decal prominently displayed at the Marion County and Martin races and think that would be cool to have in there.
If it's too late to change, I understand and am happy with the pic you have in there.
Thanks, Rocky

I have all of Cat's hard work on the stick... probably too late for changes. I now need to find someone to print 'em and hopefully be able to ship them remotely. I have yet to call John's contact at the one print shop, but will try to do that early this week. bp

As usual, I am a Billy-come-lately to this thread.....my deepest apologies to the entire Hee Haw gang for not being here too much lately.

BP, please let me know as soon as is humanly possible how much these calendars are going to be because I am going to need a BUNCH of them.

I am honored to be a part of this keepsake!

As always, I'm late on doing anything with these after John did all that hard work. My problem is that I'm not available to call anybody until night time and they aren't available to take my calls then! bp

I've been thinking about this over and over for the last week or so...
What if we waited till next year? This thing wasn't even started till January of this year, and here we are well into February already...plus, Murff missed getting a picture in there, as did Jim Kalb, and Rocky has a better picture than the one I put in. I see it this way: We get one made and get it all lined up for printing with a shipment cutoff of December 2009. That makes BP pretty busy in December, doesn't it...but if it's a 2010 calendar, it'll be the perfect gift for next Christmas from so many of us. I can make a new calendar that I believe will be more colorful than the one I used for 2009 is, but that's just me talking. The last word comes from BP, folks. The 2009 calendar is already posted complete and it's downloadable and printable if somebody has the right program that'll enlarge the jpeg, ya know. It wouldn't be of the same quality as a large print done professionally like the one I sent to BP on that flash drive, but it's there. Anyway, this is something we could consider, get it all smooth lined out and avoid cluster-you-know-whatting the whole deal on BP's schedule...if not, I look forward to seeing the 2009 print as soon as it gets done...I have to tell you doing this deal (printing and shipping) is not going to be as easy as 1-2-3. There are a LOT of details involved and BP's gotta do 'em, or hire somebody to do 'em, know what I'm saying? That's why I said maybe 2010 would be good. Heck, I'll do one for 2010, too (much sooner than January 2010), but for now, let's let BP have a life and he'll get it together for us, I guarantee. Cheers, WC1

Thanks, John. But I don't want off the hook that easy! I still plan to do 'em. BP
