I was up to Ankeny today to see Dusty (Randy) and the race car.
It's going to be a nice car when finished.
Can't wait to see it painted.

I suppose you are going to wait until it is painted before you come do the chassis cert, just so you can see the paint before the other Draglisters!!! :D

Should make primer this weekend. As you can see there were a lot of areas I needed to address to get this far. I still have to trim the side windows, shape up around the roof hatch and hood burst panel along with clearance the tail lamp swinger panels. The last thing I need to finish are the wheel wells.

It is never too late to learn more stuff. Roo told me if I heated the carbon fiber I could shape it and then hit it with cold air from the air hose. Then it would hold the new shape. So yesterday I gave it a try on the roof escape hatch. It worked really slick as you can see.

The roof hatch is off a big show car and had a slightly different curve than the Vette roof.

I had to end up re-glassing the wheel wells due to the gel coat covering some air bubble/holds in the body in that area.

I got them all done except one yesterday. Monday I will finish it. I need to square up the openings in the hood, roof, windows, and tail lamps. Then it will be ready to prime. 8)
