No time yet to fill out a full report. The short version is we got the car together and when we we checking the valves prior to the fire up, we discovered that the adj balls were the wrong size for the pushrods. We decided to pull the plug on the deal and bring it back home.

Here are a few photos though:

Norm and Robbie {from Doc Halladay's team}, and Greg Green the BBQ King!!

Kenny Bonnell, {from John Dunn's team}, Mark Hutchenson {from Greg Jacobsmeyer's team} and Rapid putting the injector together

Eric Bru, my friend and crew guy. Also works with Dale on the Orange Crate Top Fueler. He is doing his best "Rapid" imitation of a run with eyes closed.

I promised I would take a couple days off after the mad thrash to get the car complete. I have to say, the crew of this car is nothing short of amazing. Everyone worked everyday until the wee hours of the morning to achieve our goal. While we fell just a bit short of our ultimate goal, the amount of work done and the quality of the work done was truly magnificent. Besides our normal crew, we had Kenny, Mark and Tammy helping out. They were great to work with and stepped right in. The other racers who loaned us the small items we needed to complete the car, just great people! Randy and Norman, you both inspired me a lot this week and weekend. It is indeed a pleasure to call you friends. I really look forward to racing with this team!

It is my intent to get the trailer straightened up before we leave for Grove Creek. At least in see through containers so we can find what we need.

One of the nice things about getting the car together, is the parts boxes become less and less!!!
