As usual I'm behind on working on the car.
3 weeks ago I finally got the heads checked & back together, better late then never I suppose.
2 weeks ago we put the lowering kit in Steve's Mustang.
All the parts are finally here. One evening this week we are going to trial assemble the engine to make sure my math was correct. :?
After that we have to install the 4 new sleeves before I can align hone the block after that, balance the crank.
Maybe, just maybe, by the end of the month the engine will be ready to be started.

Well folks as much as I hate to say it, it looks like we are going to park the car for now. "and maybe even try to sell it"
With gas prices @ 4.00 per gallon, diesel @ 4.6 per gallon, entry fee's 80.00 for a chance to win 1,000.00 & the economy in the tank, it just doesn't make any sense to keep beating our heads against the wall. :(
Don't get me wrong, I love drag racing, but with nhra, promoters & strip owners wanting to keep all the cash and pay squat to the folks that put on the show, why continue. I realize we do this for fun and ego, but a line in the sand has to be drawn somewhere.

Well folks finally a little good news to report, the machine work on the block is finally done. We still have to trial assemble everything, file fit the rings etc and, and, ..... probably will be starting on this tomorrow
The car is still parked for the time being because we need new rubber for the back, Steve needs a new fire suite and we also need driver/crew chief radios.
We should be able to make some laps towards the end of summer.
Thanks for reading.
