Lippy,

I think the amount of the bill is directly related to how much the waitress has to put up with your harrassment!

Got to work on the "Z" all day today. I decided I was gonna' tackle that intercooler inlet project today. I looked over the position of the ice box one last time and cut out the new inlet tube. I got it all fit to the box and then put a lip on it for the clamp with the bead roller.

For a fleeting moment I thought about putting the box in the back behind the seats, but I didn't like the idea of ducts running through the car so I nixed that idea. I did end up cutting the mount loose and lowering it 2". That reqired redoin' the inlet tube to make it set higher on the ice box. That will have it stickin' out of the bottom of the dash some, but it will now "hopefully" clear the area of the dash that' right above the glove box (so I won't have a bubble in the dash there).

It's got the blocks back under it for now but this is about where it will end up. Might need a small bubble in the hood by the strut tower (maybe). Remains to be seen, there's not allot O' head room there. Stay tuned.

Thanks FHB. How's yours coming along?
I need to get as much done as I can before the spring rush starts. It's hard to get much time after that. I did get a little more done this afternoon. Workin' on getting the box mounted and the braces back in that I had to cut out to get the thing in there. I planned to just cap off the original inlet, but it was kinda' in the way so.......it's gone now.

mine is a big pile of shiney new parts right now. i have replaced the entire fuel system, the carb, the carb hat, most of the front suspension, wheels, front tires, trans, radiator, steering column, converted to a rack and pinion, and installed an 8 point cage, other than that i really haven't messed with it. i need to finish this 67 rs/ss i'm doing for a guy so i can have my shop back to put my car together. i need to send the convertor out and have it tightened up, and i need to order a wideband too. i will update my thread as i start putting it back together.
