Yea, I thought about that too, but with that 4:30 gear he has & loosing the double overdrive of the 6 spd. He's gonna need about 3,500 to 4,000 RPM to keep up with traffic. That will problee' get old after awhile.

He has a cobalt for a daily driver, but on nice days he likes to drive the Camaro to work N' stuff. He won't be making many trips with the 210 I'm guessin'.

Got Jeff's caah on the stands today & he's tearing it apart. Not much time left before the 7th annual DLN's
Got some parts in. They told me the CO2 kit was complete, but IT'S NOT. The CO2 cylinder in the pic.is the extra one I ordered. So, this morning I had to order a CO2 cylinder, valve, regulator & mounting hardware.. They aren't charging shipping for the extra stuff after making a call to the manufacturer to find the kit is indeed NOT complete.
No biggie since we aren't ready for it anyway.

Thanks PB, Al & Rapid. We spent about an hour & a half massaging the trans tunnel to get the flex plate shield to fit. Used a penning attachment in the air chisel, worked goota'. Flex plate bolted up & meshes with the starter drive perfect without even shimming the starter. cool. Hope the rest of the project goes this smooth.

It was a PITA getting the trans in with the scatter shield but Jeff & I finally got it bolted up. Turns out I don't even have to fabricate a cross member, just drill new holes in the existing cross member about 1" foreword, how easy it that? Now we can measure for the drive shaft & get that made up.
