Just got a much awaited email letting me know that the car is ready! I'll be picking it up bright and early Saturday morning, and if all goes as planned, from there, we'll head up to the track for an ATI Inspection.

After my flywheel-loosening episode I decided to just order a new one. I don't want to take any chances with that part of the car. You know the old saying "Everything happens for a reason", well, here we go again. As it turns out, the flywheel SFI tag says it's time for it to be replaced anyway, go figure!

After returning from the ATI, the car will come apart and every nut and bolt will be checked, and double checked before saying, "It's READY"

Thanks Cat. One of my crew members is also the guy that takes car of my painting. he lives nearby where the car is right now, and is picking up the hood, scoop, and bumpers so he can bring them home and paint everything. By Sunday everything should be in color. I haven't seen everything installed, but he did, and said it looks AWESOME!!

Busy day today. The car is all loaded in the trailer and ready for it's first of many trips it's going to make to the track. Unfortunately, on this trip it won't be able to stretch it's legs, just going for a check-up, or ATI Inspection, as it's technically called. I'm so glad I will be able to make it to this one, as it's the last one they are holding before the track opens in 7 days. I have to play tour guide today also, because my helper is one of my newest crew members, and she's never been to a drag strip in her life. It's time to temporarily un-winterize the motorhome for the day.
