Nope, just got home from the race car shop. I fiberglassed in a reinforcement across the top of the windshield,,,,being as I am the never-ending optimist,,,It had some tiny cracks from going 217,,,,,I figured I had better fix it before I really tune the Hooptie up and end up wearing the windshield at 1000 foot or something.

Checked the rear gears, they seem to be liking life at this point.

It seems like there was other stuff I played with,,,,but I can't remember right now. Oh yeah, I moved some nozzles around in the ports, and changed the Hi-speed pill. It seems our new way of running her, likes more fuel than the old way.

you don't change the pill at the track??? or is this just a complete different animal.

Is the car torquing (sp?) differently, is that why the windshield cracks?

oh, wait, this is the new car????

Good for you getting it out and getting some laps.

I've been outta touch for a while (sick last week), so I guess I missed it

when are you taking it out again?

In answer to the old question, Eddyville is in SE Iowa,,,,7-miles South of Oskaloosa, Iowa.

Yes, I messed with it at the track. If you would bother to read my homework assignments, AKA "What I did Last Weekend" you would be up to speed.

We have a whole total of 7-runs on the car now. The 3rd try we made it down the track, but loose. Then we went to KCIR for the next weekend and put 4-laps on it. 2-Sat and 2-Sunday. Both runs on Sunday were new team records. 6.45 in the right lane, and 6.45 in the left. It also ran our best speed ever, 217-mph. That was on the first 6.45 run. On the 2nd, I took a little hi-speed out hoping to reach the 220 threshold. It picked up almost 5-mph to the 1/8 mile, but then it lost nearly 6-mph from there to the 1320???? It seems to want a lot of fuel running it this way. I am not sure exactly why the drop off, as the plugs didn't really reflect this change hurting the mph. Kinda weird, but we will see. Maybe I short shifted or was a little slow shifting causing the MPH drop, I am not sure exactly.

I have a couple of displays to do, then we race agian at Cordova at the Nitro Nationals or something they are calling the Slingshot Nationals event now.

Thanks for asking about it. 8)

Hi Nancy. They are definitely ON! IT's the weekend of July 13 and 14... Gonna have to let Rapid Randy let you know about the airport... or maybe one of our other members who flew in... bp

Bill,
I'm a little concerned with your signature
Root's back-ups were the "Root-ettes" (chicks)
Now...his band was the "Sex Change Band"
You got something to tell us?
I'm confused

One of the best R&B bands in history... but Root's wild lyrics were great. Sort of Frank Zappa-like. Songs were definitely off the wall, but an amazing band and musicianship behind him. bp

Vic, you can't do that. All previous commitments will be met. You will be there at E-ville! Don't make me call "The boys" to come get you.
If you think it's exciting now, wait till we start it.
