Jeff had a little set back. The rt. front brake hose on the silver caah plugged up and his B-R-A-K-E rotor got a little toasty.
Took the hose off & couldn't blow air through it. I suspect the hose deteriorated & collapsed inside (I guess you could say his caah has hardening of a arteries) Of course the steel line was rusted too so he is replacing everything to the master cyl. He's got the parts & will put it together Monday on his day off, then back to the black camaro. He's purdy' much replaced the whole brake system on the rust bucket now. Did the rear brakes awhile back. It was sooo rusty he had to replace all the lines & the wheel cyl. He's still not ready to give it up. He thinks he can still get a few more miles out of the heap.
Here's the new stuff. He's going to dry fit the housing first. We need to add some brake line tabs, The torsion bar mounts need some fabbing cuz' the axle tubes are bigger on the 9" and we are going to TIG a couple tie down tabs on it to make strapping down to the trailer easier. He's going to get the rotors turned & throw a new set of pads on the back while it's apart.
Took the old rear end apart to get the disc brake backing plates off. I sure made a mess of that unit. lol. But the backing plates are fine. HEHEHEHE.
