Thanks, guys. Wow... that's a TON of gas, Mike! We have 2500 miles on the van so far for this trip.... yikes! Gonna get close to you by the end! But we are getting a pretty thrifty 18 mpg in the Draglist Mystery Machine... Thanks for the authorization to use stories... And YES, we will avoid Chicago at all costs. Jer gave me the super secret shortcut directions tonight. We'll enter a black hole right after Joliet and reappear just in time to get to Portage, Indiana... So we'll have ANOTHER mini Draglist get together at Jerry and Cheryl's tomorrow night... we'll be thinking about you all! bp

It was well worth it to get to meet the people that we met there, and to be a part of the First Annual Draglist.com Nationals.

That was a cool week/weekend for sure. Thanks BP.

BTW: Anybody needin' a place to stay or if your just passin' by, stop by & say hi. Since Jenni said ''Eye Dew'' we have an extra room. We're close to Rt. 66, I-55 & I-80 if you're plannin' a trip to a Rt. 66 event or .... so DragListers you have a place to stop any time.

You know what I forgot to do in all the confusion? I made up a bunch of name tags for everyone that I came in contact with at Eddyville. They all said "Hello, My Name is Mike" It would have been great to see all those yellow shirts at the line with EVERYONE named Mike. hahahahaha

You could have had everyone standing sideways, looking at the camera, the caption would be,......you guessed it,......."HEY MIKE"!!
