ha ha! I forgot the mike thing!!!
HEY! Listen up, Draglisters! We are now in PORTAGE, INDIANA, enjoying truly FINE hospitality at Jerry Gilles and Cheryl Minton's place! We just enjoyed some KILLER JUMBO shrimp, grilled on the Barby (I would have made the words 'killer' and 'jumbo' bigger if I had the fonts available). Man, Jerry and Cheryl have a BEAUTIFUL house. As soon as I get back to Waldorf, I have to pull out some home decorating magazines to try to BEGIN to approach the beauty they have in their home. WOW!!!!! Add to that, I'm on my third Bacardi and Coke (can you tell? ) and it's turning out to be a wonderful night. PS - Don't even get me STARTED on Cheryl's incredibly beautiful daughter, Sammy. Wow... If she had come to Iowa, Mike Jr. would have tuned the Chevy to a FOURTEEN second time out of distraction!!!
Jason and Emily are down throwing darts, Carlos Santana and gang are on the stereo, and we are getting ready for some of Jerry's killer steaks. As, the Cat Man (Du) would say, LIFE IS GOOD!
Only problem we had driving here today (except for the drivers themselves --- but that's another post), was the fact that we passed so many other cherished DRAGLISTERS to get here. I had a pang of regret going through Des Moines without stopping at Randy's place and going through the entire state of Illinois without stopping at Gary's, Rocky's or Bandit's (not to mention how many others who live in those states that I don't know about?) The iPod was cranking and we nailed it hard for eight straight hours to get here... Jerry even gave me the 'super secret shortcut' to get around the mess in I-80!
Anyway, fun chatting, but I got a drink getting warm and soon, a steak gettin' cold, so see ya! bp
