I suggested that, and I got a definite "NO". I even offered to let him use my Rossler if he could find an adapter & converter, but that is definitely off the table. He said if anything, he might consider a 5 speed sometime down the road.
Ok, I get it, the young man likes to shift. (I do too). Nothin wrong with that. I allways used to have 4 or 5 speeds. (they didn't have 6 yet)
Used to say: "with a stick you DRIVE the car - with an automatic, you RIDE in the car."

( say Pro, did ya see my new sig yet?? )
GOTCHA !!! :P :P

nash transes are long gone and so is the owner and they where junk back when he supplied them to GM . look into a liberty TKO with the face gearing . its like the dog /face gearing they use in racing motorcycles , not a clutchless , but more of a oversized synchro .

I think it's a pretty safe bet he won't be looking at any trans changes for a good long time. There's nothing out there in his budget for now.

the sheetmetal was the weak link . Gary I think you can make a good one for him , just make it out of moly , triangulate it and stress relieve the weld joints .
