Draglist Nationals 2014

Postby Wheelzman » Wed Dec 11, 2013 8:31 am

I couldn't find the conversation about the 2014 DL Nats so if there is a section please omit this. Sharon and I are so looking forward to the Draglist Nats down close to DC this coming year. I hope we get to meet so many of our friends that I have made on this and other message boards in a face to face manner. Gary will most likely have to get a pack mule to carry around all his cameras, Sharon and I are trying to talk Daryl and Heidi into going and I know the Zappster will be there with Lady Linda at his side. Maybe we can find a Guy Fieri Drive Ins, Diners and Dives place to get some grub or I'm sure bp has a favorite dinning establishment? Is there going to be a central location for rooms? We are headed for Vegas on Christmas eve and then over to the Grand Canyon as Sharon has never been there but the weather may be a little on the nippy side as to the projected weather forecast. Can't wait to see the kids all together for Christmas for the first time since they graduated from high school like 20 years ago. Have a good day all.

Waldorf is full of hotels and restaurants and we certainly have our pick. Once we get things nailed down we can find one or two to team up at. Also have the option of a party at the Pratt house, etc. Will gather up the stuff you all want to see in DC and we can attack that once we know. I emailed Royce tonight to see if he has an idea on the date yet... bp

Yes gang as soon as Royce confirms the race date to Bill, then Bill to me, Linda is ready to check out hotels
for us. A reminder Bill has offered to be our tour guide. Several of us are going to take him up on his offer and
Arrive in town several days early. Many of us have been wanting to see DC real bad, and to have a "local" to
show us is too good to pass up.

So far the most requested are Lincoln memorial - Kennedy grave - changing of the guard at the tomb
of the unknown soldier.

For you highfliers BP says there are 3 airports to choose from
REAGAN WASHINGTON NATIONAL
BALTIMORE Washington INTERNATIONAL (BWI)
WASHINGTON DULLES INTERNATIONAL

Sounds great! Denise just said we need to include the WWII Memorial as it is awesome. I agree. I will definitely take the week off and Denise said she will take a few afternoons off. We can't wait to have our friends visit! bp

Ok, gang! Here are the dates from the man himself! bp

Bill,
I tried to answer this email from the PRI show and my phone was acting stupid so I don't know if it went through. But just in case it didn't the 2014 dates are Sept 13-14.

All our host hotels are the same for 2014 and are listed on the website. Looking forward to working with you and Draglist more closely with the Legends event.
