There is a minimum requirement of 10 people and a maximum of 50 people allowed per tour. Requests are processed on a first-come, first-served basis, and may be submitted from two weeks to 12 months in advance of the visit date. It is highly recommended that groups who wish to visit during the spring and summer months complete their reservations well in advance of their visit date due to high demand during that period.
Depending on availability, groups may choose from tours running every 15 minutes, Monday through Friday, beginning at 11:00 a.m. and ending at 12:15 p.m. A confirmation letter (fax or mail) serves as the group's timed-entry reservation. It is sent at the conclusion of the reservation process.
Tour operators with valid identification are allowed a maximum of 10 tickets per tour and 25 tickets total per day. If you arrive with a group of over 10 people, your group will not be accommodated unless you have a reservation. No tickets will be given out at the ticket booth for large groups.

Ok cool, with Bill we made the minimum (10) and others can still join us. Gorilli, I couldn't find the length of tour time, but the group tours are between 11AM and 12:15PM. That leaves us time to get to the train & get into DC. We could call the phone number, they could tell us how long.
