Well lets get a count, sounds like
Pro Z = 2
Jeff = 1
Zap & LL = 2
Boyd & Sue = 2
Gorilli & Sharon =2
_______________
total 9

Haven't heard from Danny & Gena / Daryl & Heidi / Barb / WildCat / BP & Denise / Ohio Dave yet either. Surely out of these 9 we can get at least 1 to join us for a "FREE" tour. Great Idea Pro, I think yer gonna make it.

As far as what day ?? I'm thinkin Fri. cause by then everybody should be there. What think you all ??

3 more & I can make a call to see if there's available slots. I'm thinking later the better, but what day?
How many hours/minutes is the tour and what time slot? I would say Thursday as everyone should be there by then?

I think around noon or 1pm are the last time slots? I think the tour is about 45 min give or take, that's about how long the Denver tour was. I'll check it out over the weekend when I have some time to look at the web site.

There is a minimum requirement of 10 people and a maximum of 50 people allowed per tour. Requests are processed on a first-come, first-served basis, and may be submitted from two weeks to 12 months in advance of the visit date. It is highly recommended that groups who wish to visit during the spring and summer months complete their reservations well in advance of their visit date due to high demand during that period.

Depending on availability, groups may choose from tours running every 15 minutes, Monday through Friday, beginning at 11:00 a.m. and ending at 12:15 p.m. A confirmation letter (fax or mail) serves as the group's timed-entry reservation. It is sent at the conclusion of the reservation process.

Tour operators with valid identification are allowed a maximum of 10 tickets per tour and 25 tickets total per day. If you arrive with a group of over 10 people, your group will not be accommodated unless you have a reservation. No tickets will be given out at the ticket booth for large groups.

Ok cool, with Bill we made the minimum (10) and others can still join us. Gorilli, I couldn't find the length of tour time, but the group tours are between 11AM and 12:15PM. That leaves us time to get to the train & get into DC. We could call the phone number, they could tell us how long.

If I remember right our tour at Denver was about 45 minutes. It makes "cents" that the dollar bill mill would be about the same. :D

BTW: don't be like Cheryl & bring a purse to the tour, (they won't let you in).. I looked like a purse snatcher, running the thing back to the car before the tour started. Once the tour starts, gate iz' closed & yer' out'a luck. Tickets (reservations) are only good for the day & time on the ticket.

I finally got around to checking on reservations for the Bureau of Engraving. It's a 40 minute tour so I opted for 11:45 I'm figuring we could maybe go out for lunch afterward? I put down Thursday as 1st choice & Friday as 2nd choice. I said we would have 15 in our group. I thought figuring long was better than not. Sent the email off, so now we'll have to wait & see if there are slots open. I also told them we could change our time slot if these times were already taken. They go on 15 minute intervals up to 12:15pm. No ticket needed for off season tours, so I imagine we'll just get one group reservation emailed back to us. I'll let you know when I know.

BTW: the web site is www.moneyfactory.gov, I thought that was sorta' catchy. :D

Sounds perfect Pro Z. 11:45 should get us out at 12:25, right at lunch time. I'm sure BP knows a place close by to eat, if not we can find one.
