Just got home after spending the night in the mountains of West Virginia last night. It sure was fun hanging out with many of the Super Crew in Bowling Green this past week/weekend! Thanks to everyone for your marvelous contributions. Looking forward to photos from this one and looking forward to our next one on Memorial Day in Ohio! bp

Now that it's cooled down to a balmy 97.7°f  I'm headed out to letter a bottom dumper trailer before dark.
Had to post these before I left. More to come.

We made it home safe & sound too. But everything that could delay us did. When we left Nashville after dinner we made 18 miles the first hour.
If it wasn't construction it was accidents. On 65 just south of Louisville, then again on 71 headed for 75 we sat over an hour no movement. even the trucks were turning off their lights & engine.

From Nashville to Franklin Ohio (south of Dayton) approx. 8 hrs. I should have been almost home. Pulled over for the night. Oh boy !! new day, new road he said. Then whamo construction again. We jot off for lunch and I saw a fire truck go by. I thought oh no, please no. Sure enough we take off and stop again. Bad semi crash. Close hi-way, the have semi's turning around going UP the entrance ramp. It was not a pleasant drive down or back. But the in-between was well worth it.

Just checking in - more later, time to watch the races from Bristol.

Made it home as well about 5pm with no issues. Good to see just about everyone, but never met up with BP and didn't find the tent either. Still a good day with good racing. Pics were sent to BP about an hour ago

Well we went south thru Indiana and thought that was bad with construction. (Ha it was nothin compared to the trip home)
I thought I could sneak home thru Ohio, and no one would know. WRONG !! The curse of the Ohio Orangutan ground our northern progress to a creeping halt. At one point we made 18.5 miles in an hour. You can bet I'll have nanners for the Blonde Fur Ball next year.

Anyway the event was great, the race, the tours, and most of all the visiting with the drag listers. I got to enjoy talkin with Heidi& Daryl, Jack & Sharon, Gary & Cheryl. Had lunch with Ohio Dave at the track. This year was extra special because the TEXAS TRIO was there, Danny, Gena, & the WildCat 1. A special thanks to Daryl + John + Denice for giving us a great concert FRi. night.

The annual Sun. morning farewell breakfast buffet was super, got to spend some quality time with BP & Denice, really enjoyed that. The only thing missing this year was, three of our "hard core" regulars, BOYD & SUSAN, and JEFF. (all 3 of you were missed).

From sitting on the back patio at the hotel - to the concert - to the races -to the pool - to the crack fudge - all the laughs - DLN 11 was OUTSTANDING.
I'm already excited about next years number 12. NO WAY I'll miss that.
