BP - the dinner cruise sounds good to me, plus I thought a one hour ride would be kind of short. We'll probably be there early afternoon if not before, do you still have our phone numbers to text us? If not let me know and I'll get them to you.
And can anyone chime in as to if you bought your tickets at the gate or did you get them before hand? Thanks!

Denise checked on the dinner cruise today. Something like Greenway Tours. It's the only one that offers the cruise. There is a dinner cruise tomorrow night featuring ribs and chicken. The boat goes through the locks like last year. The cost is 40 dollars per person. Denise and I plan to go. Heidi and Daryl -- are you in? Will anyone else be there on Thursday night? We can order the tickets tomorrow morning once we know who is going. We plan to leave at 10 or 11. It will take us 4 hours to get to Greensburg. bp

We also looked into the band that will be playing in town in Greensburg on Friday night. A very nice 70s Soul band. Sort of like the Fifth Dimension or something. Should be nice. But we need to figure out a Friday daytime activity. bp

First leg of our journey is complete. Made it to the Promised Land State Park, 257 miles done, 257 miles to go. We’ll head out tomorrow morning for the final lap. 35 gallons of gasoline was consumed today.

Outstanding, Mike! Heidi, Daryl, Denise, and I had a great night on the Ohio River Dinner Cruise in Pittsburgh. We rode up the Incline, too. Then we had a fun drive home where our Waze sent us on a wild goose chase through several back roads and neighborhoods near Greensburg. At least we got to see a deer run right in front of us! All part of the fun! Looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow! bp

Met up with Gary, Cheryl, Jack, and Sharon at the hotel lobby and chatted for a bit. Heidi called and said there would be a pot luck dinner at the track tonight. We all wanted to go because there was a good chance that Darryl would have a chance to at least buckle into a funny car and perhaps get in a run! Jack and Sharon headed off to get some desserts to take and the rest of us hopped into the Draglist Super Van. After a quick stop at KFC to get a big bucket of chicken, five large sides, and 10 biscuits, off we went! It was SUPER hard to smell all that deliciousness for the 20-minute ride Keystone Raceway Park but we survived. When we got there, we met up with Mike and Margie Casella, and then headed over to add our contributions to the bounty. What a crazy spread! I ate two plates plus a plate of desserts, which definitely shot my usual diet. I got a call from Bret Kepner, who can't make it this year but arranged for Bangshift.com and NHRA announcer Brian Lohnes to announce! We met a lot of our funny car pals and went up to the tower to say hello to Jim Senkewitz and to say hello to the fans on behalf of the Draglist crew. We then went back to the pits and saw Daryl get familiar with the car -- the badass Deuce on the Loose Chevy II owned by Greg and Donna King of Illinois. Daryl found all the controls and completed a solid warm up with lots of throttle whacks! (I got that on video). Soon it was time for the test pass. Jim Senkewitz kindly turned over the mike so that I could introduce Daryl and the team. After a good burnout attempt, Daryl backed her up expertly. Denny Salzwimmer guided him into the beams and Daryl nailed the throttle and powered it out to a solid half pass, coasting after the eighth mile! Success! He hit a 4.89 at 120 at the eighth, and coasted to a final 9.19 at only 88 mph for a safe and solid first pass! Greg said that would have been a 7.60 something had Darryl completed the full quarter! Congrats, Daryl! After much celebration in the pits, we wrapped up for the night and will meet for breakfast tomorrow to hit the track and get into some funny car racing! bp
