He now is currently racing AMA Pro hillclimb events, carrying the #1 plate in the senior division. This year he is hoping to win at the Widowmaker on a 1300cc Suzuki Hayabusa at the age of 68.[/quote]

My understanding is that all the AMA hill climb events are back east. Has your dad moved there and does he just 'COMMUTE"

There are events in Tracy Ca. Montana,Utah as well as back east. On another note, what ever happened to Don Green the photographer and writer? He used to live ten houses away from my family back in the 60's,in the the same apartment complex as O.J. Simpson.

Funny you should mention Don Green, for I had received a couple of E mails from him, making explanation about the Car Craft photograph session involving the Tex Collins Allison powered Mustang funnycar that appeared in the magazine in late 1970. It was made in what was yet to be a housing tract in Palmdale. I was going to make inquiry about how the magazines Drag Racing USA chronicles came to be. I will advise him of the posted conversation here and advise him that an old neighbor was saying "hello".

All i like to do is help if i can regardless of how minimal/trivial it may pan out to be because so many folks have helped me along the way reserching my late uncle Curt stuff.. my eyes and ears are allways lurking around for cool stuff and this fits the COOL FACTOR !! 8)
