How Ironic, I was about to make comment that I viewed the results and found your dads name listed in the class. My interpretation is that he made the hill, unlike the 4th place finisher who traversed about 95' feet of of the hill. I know how big the hill is as I was there about 3 weeks ago as the tractors were creating it

Colin, in searching for shots of Jim Kalbs dragster, I also kept my open for any shots of your dads Vette. I couldnt find any. However, that doesnt mean there arent any since the Drag News CD series is pretty comprehensive. There were however plenty of comments made in the results section about your dads exploits. At least one cited his winning a show at Lions

Yes I saw that. In no time you should receive a response. It would be great to find the cars remnents. Its been being built by a sprint car builder makes sense now as the tin work always reminded me of a Novi roadster

Just checked it out as you posted. Very nice. Cant recall if I was there that evening, but I do recall seeing the candy blue Vette make the field on most occassions. Gage and Sons were also very competetive a tthe time

I just googled Corvette roadster funny car and came up with this thread. There is another blue Corvette roadster in the world and it is sitting in my garage. I know it's not the same one. Some of my GLNFCC brothers don't like it, but now I know it is historically correct! I would put a picture up if I knew how.

Does your Corvette feature a scalloped tear drop style head rest that flows into the trunk? If so, it might be George Weidlen's car.
