Where is this car now? I sold it to Carl Heikel (sp) from MI in the fall of 1970.

Info appreciated. Contact Jay Howell @ keylimejay@yahoo.com

All I know is that Carl then sold the car (I have the For Sale ad) to the Detroit Dragway group that ran that short-lived blown alky UDRA funny car group(8 cars),1972 I think.Don't know where the cars went from there, but it might be a lead.Terry Hedrick was involved with that effort.Let me contact him and see what he remembers. For the younguns, let me add my four cents worth here (infalayshun). UDRA was the United Drag Racers Association starting in Kawleeforeignya.
The most successful group was out of the mid-west. UHRA was the United Hot Rod Association and started by Gil Kohn of Detroit and New York National Dragways.
By the way Jay, good luck on finding your car, And THANKS for the (JA) decals on the Powell & Howell AA/Gasser!
Jack Approved!

Thanks Jack...those were very good years. Enjoyed racing ( and beating ) the Pill Bros. on a regular basis...:-)

The Willys was one stout ride. I've always thought that if we would have run her for another year, she would have run 200+. I always had to pedal her and she still would run 180's, straight as an arrow. Well most of the time. Glad she's in good hands now.

If Eaton got my old hot rod, it's most likely rotting in a dump somewhere. Sad end to a good ride.
Racing along at 7 knots! ;-)
