I didn't see the PBS program, but I doubt it was true.
Unless of course they reported that he works at Burger King on Tuesdays, Thursdays & weekends, then they would be correct.

I watched it and I have to say I didn't get all fired-up over it...I'd already seen the concert footage a long time ago...the music was great, Elvis was great, but I thought to myself as I watched it, a hologram could have been made of him with today's technology. I would have appreciated the concert a lot more than just playing along with a video...but that's just my take on it. I wanted Elvis out in front of the band instead of a video screen image up behind them is all...the vibe I got was kind of sad. Cheers, WC1

I hesitated to post this because I revere Elvis as the once and forever King. He changed the world. He was the best ever, and like a handful of others, he went out undefeated and untied and became an eternal American cultural icon. I have a velvet painting of him, 50 inches tall, in a place of prominence in my "shrine to bad taste".

"If it hadn't been for Elvis, none of us would have made it."...Buddy Holly

:D yea i know what you mean WC.. a bit cheezy and revolves around money more than anything but i was more into the musicians and the back-up singers than the images on the screen...

My ex-murder in law saw him in Tampa when she was a kid, and got to exchange hugs with him......He "allegedly" told her/ask her, "Little lady, your heart's goin pitter pat....Why is your heart goin pitter pat?"

I enjoy his music, but wonder how much greater he "would" have been had the "Colonel" handled things differently.........
