Melanie Safka

Here's where we go to kick back after the races with our pals. Pour a tall one, punch a few buttons on the jukebox, and relax...

Does anyone know where I can get a free download of her song "Lay Down"????
Didn't she also do a song called "Revolution" or something like that?? It was a 70's anti war song

Melanie was big in the late 60s/early 70s, but she's still at it today...she was a major superstar in England and Europe, playing the big festivals and concerts that were popular back then, and had some hits here as well. "Lay Down", "Brand New Key" and I keep wanting to say "Morning Dew" but I believe that was Lulu, of "To Sir With Love" fame...anyway, I always thought of her as a kind of female version of Donovan...great singers, but this is a Melanie thread...Cheers, WC1
