congrats BP and Bill on the graduations ! , you too mr Z , I hope our #2 doesn't show up for some time down the road , still gettig used to #1 , hard to believe Jacob is 7 months old now .and Oddie will be two in august ,

Cat just listened to all 5 songs . have to say its different . sounds like Iron maiden with some Joe Satrianai mixed .( almost like some older Satriani playing styles with the tempo changes )

its songs I can definately remember the lyrics too ( LOL) . and it needs a scotch more cowbell ( j/k) says the critic that cant hum without screwing it up ....

Thanks, Stimp. Yes, Emily has about five days of school left. She played her final concert with the Charles County Youth Orchestra yesterday. The conductor thanked her for years of service to the group, including doing arrangements, leading her peers, and generally, keeping things on track (in addition to playing). Denise got a nice presentation and a gift, too, as she has been doing the majority of the administrative tasks for the group. It will be a strange deal not going to dozens of concert rehearsals and performances a year... If I had to bet, though, I'd say that Denise will stay involved to some extent, even though our kids won't be in it anymore. bp

Hi gang. Got to share this...

We went to Jason's A school graduation in Richmond today. During the ceremony, we were surprised to hear that he was announced as the top student in the graduating class with a 100 percent GPA. They said it was only the second time a student at Fort Lee achieved a perfect score throughout the entire curriculum. They then awarded him a special promotion, where he is getting an early advancement to petty officer within six months of arriving at his new command. And that, if I haven't said this before, is the destroyer USS Lassen out of Yokosuka, Japan. He is home with us on leave now and will be with us when we take Emily to start college next weekend. We have our little family all together for one more week, and then Em is off on August 19 with Jason flying out on September 1. I'm super proud of Jason and I'm happy he got Japan, which he wanted. And he has three bulit in friends/contacts there as the Japanese student teachers we've hosted for the past three years are all ready for him to arrive and to show him around Toyko... Congrats to Jason and Em and boo hoo to Bill and Denise as we become empty nesters... :D bp
