Just found out Grandchild #2 is a boy. They were looking for a girl so all the names are out the window & a new boy list has to be compiled. All is well though, that's the important thing.

Great news, Boyd! Life is good!

For the last several months, my son Nick has been driving across town to rehearse with a band he told me is called Serpent Attack...I said that's cool, I was proud that he is branching out, but I didn't expect much to come out of it. I hear Chironex and the Monk Bunkeys here in the garage all the time, and I thought Serpent Attack was another project along similar lines, so I didn't bother to check them out...but today I did check them out on the local heavy metal website, and I smooth got knocked over backwards...they're #29 out of 176 bands in town, they have some high-profile gigs lined up, and their music is amazing...their singer and lead guitarist has a range and style that immediately reminded me of Ronnie James Dio, Bruce Dickinson and Ian Gillan...his guitar playing is old-school...flowing, melodic, lyrical phrasing and a precise and clear tone...this guy is really something special. They're all in their late teens. I joined their fanclub and shared the link to their page on my Facebook page. Check out the song "Ignorance" on their page. Nick's got it going on...Cheers, WC1
