VX of Houston

Here's where we go to kick back after the races with our pals. Pour a tall one, punch a few buttons on the jukebox, and relax...

I don't know if I had mentioned this previously, but I work with a guy who is a member of an R&B band, VX of Houston. "Raw n B" is their slogan. I have heard their music, seen videos of their performances, and carefully listened to their demos. They write and produce all their own stuff and provide recording for clients. They are FANTASTIC in my opinion. They are creating beautiful music, their songs are memorable mini-operas of intimacy and angst, their live shows are choreographed and rehearsed to perfection, and what I hear when I listen to their stuff is a new sound, something so different from anything else I could compare it to, I guess I'll have to go along with "Raw n B". "Yiego" (Stan) is a graphic designer with GRI. I do some of everything there, but he's a degreed designer, animator, publisher, etc...on top of his gig with us, he works with VX every night. He's a great kid (he's 27), a happy-go-lucky free spirit, creative as all get-out and interested in everything...he loved the Citykings' CD, too..."Some Guy Out On The Street" and "Such A Fine Line" are his favorite songs on our CD. I just thought I'd talk 'em up here. I'm a fan of this band. Good music is good music, ya know. And this is definitely good music. Check 'em out...Cheers, WC1
