What's on the Jukebox?

Here's where we go to kick back after the races with our pals. Pour a tall one, punch a few buttons on the jukebox, and relax...

Speaking of the Trans Siberian Orchestra, did everyone see this video of this guy in Ohio who lit up his house with a computer generated light show set to their song? bp

Another 'garage' day today, and it was Hendrix day today. Love the sets with Buddy Miles.

Funny, when I really zone in on the Falcon it really helps me to have on some period music. You know, what would have been on the radio from '68 to '71 if I had been doing this build then.

And on days like this, when the car talks to me while I'm working alone, the music acts like a time warp.

Pretty goofy, huh?

That's right, Murff..absolutely...Hendrix...Cream...Quicksilver...Steve Miller Band...early Deep Purple...Blue Cheer...post-Sgt Pepper, pre-Woodstock...a great period...Life is good.

I saw that light show, BP...it was awesome!

Great call on the Carpenters, BK! I was a closet Carpenters fan...actually I had the hots for Karen...

Man, after reading the very first post I realized that I really need to get that album replaced in my collection. Excellent front to back.
Carry On leaped into my head as if I'd just listened to it yesterday when I read that. Nice.

Cool... howdy, Komodo. I got a few itunes gift cards for Christmas and I went nuts last Saturday. Downloaded about four Mark Knopfler albums, including the one he did with Chet Akins. Got some great Gram Parsons (man, I love that guy's work -- another one lost way to early), some Traveling Wilburys, some George Harrison (I had no IDEA how awesome the deep cuts on those early post-Beatles albums were!), and a few others tunes here and there. Man, I was in HEAVEN. bp

Nabbed two brand new needles for my turntable on Ebay so we're digging through the old vinyl again. Right now there's 4 Led Zepplin albums on the spindle and soon as side 2 of Fleetwood Mac Rumours is done they're next in line and the surround sound is turned up LOUD.

Awesome! My Grado cartridge is about 20 years old at least, but I'll bet I haven't played 100 albums in that time... bp
