I read that the Watkins Glen festival produced best-ever performances by the Band and the Allman Brothers. I also heard the Grateful Dead, Quicksilver and Jefferson Airplane played great sets there, too. Good pick, Don! WC1

Many, many, many, many moons ago, back in my early "teen years" I did indeed see the group known as MAMA'S PRIDE perform live... They were the opening act for THE OUTLAWS at a concert held at New York City's famous Palladium Theatre... MAMA'S PRIDE did a good job of opening the show for THE OUTLAWS... I have to admit that the memory that sticks with me the most from that particular concert show was when THE OUTLAWS performed their ultra-opus titled "GREEN GRASS AND HIGH TIDES"-- Holy Cow, Mr. Moo!!-- Those boys brought the house down with their mammoth masterpiece of country rock gone wide-open full throttle-- What an incredible performance, borderline unbelievable in its energy and soaring spirit-- WOW!!... For whatever it's worth, members of FLEETWOOD MAC were also at that show as spectators, they were sitting next to me... "The Doc" (Celebrity Drag Racing Authority & Visionary)...
