The Night Shift... Continues!

Here's where we go to kick back after the races with our pals. Pour a tall one, punch a few buttons on the jukebox, and relax...

Thanks...it becomes redundant to post every week about how successful the band is, how packed and crazy our gigs are, how loose the ladies get, how fine they look, etc. It's the same everywhere we go. I don't want to dull-out the thread or come across as being jaded...it's been like this on increasing levels for the last several months. This weekend we played ouside at T-Bone Tom's in the Kemah lighthouse district. They had a big 4th of July celebration. We played in the middle of a gigantic traffic tie-up next to highway 146 and 6th streets down there. There were well over a hundred thousand people there...not at T-Bone's, but all around us...last night the VFW fundraiser in Santa Fe. That was a much more enjoyable gig, not just because it was inside an air-conditioned building, but because it was packed with our crowd who came there just to see the band and dance. They cheer for us...we rocked out for them...we get hugs, kisses and back-slaps between sets...it's a wonderful environment to be playing in...My cousins, Roberta and Phylliss Ann showed up and I hung out with them for the night and had a great time. They asked Pee Wee about his horses and he expounded to them on what he's been doing with his horses...he's breeding mares and he has 9 world championships including last year...just about every time he shows up, he wins a championship with them...but he's getting tired of keeping that deal going because he does it all himself and he'd rather kick back and not work as hard. Anyway, next Friday we're playing at a new club, Jack's Garage...it's a classic hot rod and motorsports club over on Old Galveston Road (Hwy 3), South of Houston. I will dust off the camera and snap some shots of the cars that show up. I have been instructed by the Phantom Kruizers that George will be driven to this gig. I met Jack last night and he hung out with us and watched us play. He's a great guy and he's looking forward to having us there. Cheers, WC1

It's a treat that the band guys appreciate. Some really fine babe gets the vibe of the music, has a drink or two, maybe three, and the next thing you know, she's right up there in front of us expressing her primal instincts and showing off the most outstanding features the she has to display to us. Actually, several of them do this at any given gig...the band guys talk about it after the show..."Did you see the one in the silver and black top-piece? Did you see what that one chick did when Pee Wee fell to his knees and hit the high note? Did you see those three over on the left when we did "Mustang Sally?" It's one of the best perks the band has...and it lets us know we're doing our job and then some. That doesn't happen with every band that plays out there...these events only happen if the music and the vibes are right, and Pee Wee plays to satisfy that deep-down inner urge. He works 'em into a frenzy every time. I am enjoying this band. We've become more popular than we expected, our schedule keeps changing because bigger and bigger gigs keep coming in, it's just a fantastic ride, man. Cheers, WC1

Last Friday night, we played at Jack's Garage in League City...it's a hot rod nightclub and restaurant...there were a lot of cool cars there, I only got to take around 10 pictures before we played, but here they are. There were 46 hot rods there...including George...Enjoy! WC1

Cool Pics, Cat. That last shot of the pick-em-up reminds me of Peggy's color combo. 8) 8)

It sure does, come to think of it, Billy! It sure does! I took the picture of that MLC thinking that NovelT would say something, but yes, it's definitely got your colors on it! How cool is that? Cheers, WC1
