The Night Shift... Continues!

Here's where we go to kick back after the races with our pals. Pour a tall one, punch a few buttons on the jukebox, and relax...

Rapid, I thought that purple 33 with the orange/red scallops had a striking resemblance to the Nitro Madness '23 T...I remember the air foil in front and/or below the "door" outlines on the sides that had pretty much the same kind of flames design? Those 2 cars must be related somehow...Cheers, WC1
PS: We have one more gig at Jack's and that'll probably be it for a while, the reason being it was very hot and humid inside...somebody opened the doors and all the AC blew outside and the steaming-humid Bay Area air came in. It was impossible to cool it off after that...and here we are pumping out boogie woogie in there...it was a pretty grueling 4 sets. We were all soaking wet with sweat the whole time and so was the crowd...gotta just have one door that opens and closes, at the far end of the place. Letting 3 doors sit open for 5 minutes, let alone 4 hours will turn a comfortable place inside-out real quick in this town...same thing happened when we played at the Rice Hotel a couple of months ago...Cat

Sound hot just reading WC.

We have our A/C on for the first time this year, today. Mostly because Ethan is here today. We open the house up @ night & turn the whole house fan on ..... then button it up in the mornin'. Stays purdy' cool. When we start gettin' hot nights, that's the end of that deal.

That 58 was showroom condition, Doc. Perfect. Oh yeah, Wheelz, the black primered coupe is a '38 Lincoln Zephyr. Cheers, WC1

Leaving shortly for a 3-gig weekend. I'll be staying at my folks' house in Galveston instead of driving back and forth the Houston every day and night...Tonight, Club 21 in Galveston, tomorrow night, The Nessler Center in Texas City for a Gala event, Sunday, the NASA Hilton, from 6-8, then back home. I'll have to get online to see who won in Sonoma, but even a little drag racing is better than none at all...Happy Birthday to Rapid, everybody have a safe and happy weekend! Cheers, WC1
PS: Debby's going with me so I'll be an idiot tonight. Life is good.
