The Night Shift

Here's where we go to kick back after the races with our pals. Pour a tall one, punch a few buttons on the jukebox, and relax...

Here are the Citykings at SugarHill Thursday night, during the recording of "Apple Of My Eye". They put us in Studio "A" this time...Andy called Bill and told him he wants us back next week for more stuff. He wants me to do a Hammond Organ track on this song. We're going to get Randolph to sing the whole song instead of me with him adding the middle section. He's got that deep, sexy, soulful voice and when he did the middle part of the song, the CityQueens who were there got HOT, man...we gotta have him all the way on it...tonight, Shakedown at CockEyed Seagull. Tomorrow, Freedom River at North Main Ice House in Baytown...Life is good. WC1

Thanks, y'all. Wednesday night it was the Whiskey Saints at the college (we have a gig coming up April 14 at 5th Street), last night the Citykings (we are practicing the new song...the one for the SugarHill compilation) since Andy called Bill and told him he wants us back to do some more stuff to it...we have a hit there, and we're confident that it will go over great. We are considering either putting it on our second album or printing up a limited series of "Four Lifetimes" with this track added as a bonus...then tonight it's Shakedown at Katie's down in Bacliff...got a nice check from the college yesterday, but I already owe it to WSRJ...anyway, y'all have a great weekend. Will give an update tomorrow...I'm off tomorrow night...must be a Blue Moon <g> Cheers, WC1

It's just a matter of time B4 that huge once in a "Lifetime" break comes along and WC will be off to the races. All the things you've got goin' WC, WOW, you're just planing seeds. ........ You never know which ones will grow. Probably the ones you least expect. Like I said before....one of these days we'll all be sayin'.....Yup, I knew WC when. I think big things are comin' your way.
