The BP Family

Here's where we go to kick back after the races with our pals. Pour a tall one, punch a few buttons on the jukebox, and relax...

I think we might have ventured out a little more if it weren't so H-O-T. Walkin' around in the heat was like walkin' uphill BOTH WAYS.

Would have been fun to walk through the pits & talk to some of the local racers. But, I tend to run out of go power when it's over 95f with who mid itititity to match.

From what I gather, more HP in a short wheelbase conveyance may cause unpredictable handling. Please confirm. ..........

I concur with the aforementioned handling issue when the horsepower to wheelbase ratio is unfavorably tilted in the former's favor. However, there are those among us who are more qualified than I to validate that theory...

I don't think I can answer as eloquently as Wildcat ,but YUP There must be a reason modern altereds like Nitro Madness are 125" wheelbases.I guess it's a handling issue.Gary.I don't remember if I told you.One of the announcers at Mission said I had to steer the car with a compass.I later installed one on top of the tach, then told him about it.He had a good time with that for a while

Thanks, all! It sure was a blast getting together. I've been falling down (asleep) on the job this week as I've done nothing but read all your excellent posts, but have offered few of my own. I'm really doing some heavy napping, eating, and swimming this week... every time I sit down at the computer I start to doze... Tonight, we just got back from the Drive In (a double bill with Cars and Garfield Part 2). Both pretty funny, but pretty predictable. But I thought I'd better get up here and answer a few emails and type a few posts! bp
