What operating system do you have WC? If it's a version 10 or higher find your font book. Should look like this. Then at the top of the page click on "FILE" and "ADD FONTS" should be in the pull down menu. it will look something like the window I have open in the desk top snap shot. From there you can select your fonts for downloading.

You should be able to just copy any True Type Fonts (TTF files) from a CD and paste them in the C:Windows/fonts folder. Done it a few times over the years - when I change to a new computer I always take my fonts with me.

I always liked the Fonts on Happy Days. I admit I'm no help on PC's.

If whatever font you have is on your desktop, all you have to do is double click the font in the finder. Font book should open the font, and all you have to do is click install font. If it won't open the font, you might be clicking on the wrong file type, that has happened to me. You can find 'font book' by clicking on 'macintosh hd' or your hard drive, applications, the scroll down to 'font book'. It will have a list of all your installed fonts, and installing it here will make the typeface available for every program. I've got some great sites for awesome free fonts I'm willing to share with my fellow mac users. Let me know if you have any problems-
