Since my new motor will be on alcohol,will I run the same plug[Autolite 25] that I ran with gas?Or hotter or colder?

I'd say a hotter plug since alk. runs cooler, but that is just a shot in the dark

{just killin' some time before beddy by}.

Disclaimer: It's been nearly 35 years since I've delt with an alcohol motor.

Kinsler says one to two numbers hotter and it will be almost impossible to read the plug .

Reading alky plugs is easy - I have yet to figure out how to read gas plugs. With alky you just look at how much cad plating you burn off.

There are two great articles on reading plugs -- alky and gas -- on draglist. If you go to the first page and search for those terms on the on-site search engine, they should come right up. I can help later if you can't find them. bp

oh green !! for gas you look at the base inside the threaded extension to see if there is a little carbon ring ( you need a light to see it ) or you cheat and get the ac delco sparkie plug problem chart

Actually, we do read the threads and straps on the plugs. If they are still on.
