Racing my Challenger

Postby rdockery_3 » Fri Apr 24, 2009 10:19 pm

I have a 2009 Dodge Challenger R/T and I've ran it a few times at my local 1/4 mile track. I was wondering if I start running it often will it eventually cause something in my engine to wear out too early. It has the 5.7 HEMI and it is under a lifetime warranty so I'm thinking that it's a pretty reliable motor but I don't know.

ALL motors start to wear out the first time you crank them up.
"Some" last longer than others.
IF you keep everything pretty much stock, making a few quarter mile hits from time to time shoudn't do any more damage than trying to get up to speed on the freeway on-ramp (and its a LOT safer  )
