I won't disagree with needing new slicks, but I have to ask, is your helmet in contact with the roll cage?
If it is, it will shake your brains out and blur your vision.
I would suggest getting a chin strap that goes from the chin area of your helmet to the latch on your harness, to keep your head off of the cage.
This is what the top fuel guys use.
Good luck.

That's a thought Wheelz!

No Rock, I'm close to the cage but not against. Last weekend during some of the runs I pushed my arms against my seat and cage to try and steady myself, that made the shaking for me alot worse!! Thanks Rock.

Jegs won't have the slicks I need until the 21st of this month. Goodyear are the only ones I find that makes a 33x13x15. There is nothing wrong with traction, last Saturday at Thompson 3 passes in a 4hr span the car ran ,
lane 1 9.55,
lane 1 9.56,
lane 2 9.55.
Dialed a 9.54
1st round ran a 9.61 and won, got out at the top end. Kept same dial.
2nd round ran another 9.61 lost. Thought I slowed the car down but think the car just slowed. Only been 9mth since I've run the car.
So, either I duct tape my glasses to face or get new slicks! I think new slicks!!

Sounds like she could use some new shoes regardless.
Good luck!

Just curious....is it mandatory to use a 13 inch wide tire on your combo??

If its tire width to rim width concerns, keep this in mind...."my" wheels are 15 inches and I have a set of 33x10.5Wx15's on there.....and have been 9.003 at a buck 47 with a 1.23 60ft.

No, I was just wanting to keep it as close to way the original owner had it setup. He ran the 8.90 class in nhra. Although he was putting out more hp compared to my fairly stock motor, this is the most consisent car I've ever owned. Driver error is mostly why I don't win many rounds. That and the fact I only get out about 5 times a year to race don't help!
