Oldest Chassis Research Help

Postby Race Ace » Mon Feb 15, 2010 6:33 pm

Hello! I was wondering if Chassis Research made some dragsters before the K-88. Maybe some prototypes that never went into production? My friend has one with Chassis Research on the dash, rear hubs, and on the steering box, but it is not a K-88 or a TE-440. Is there any way to tell if this chassis is one from Scotty Fenn's team? What is the oldest (first) chassis they made? You help determining what the chassis is would be greatfully appreciated. Thanks! :D

This was passed on to me a few weeks back, when I saw Bill post up you were looking for info
then I posted up to help out and this is what I have for you..
Hi Vic:
I worked for Chassis Research in 1959. The earlest chassis I remember was in 1957 when Scotty was building them in a shed next to a gas station. They were a TE 440 style. The sced bars laid way back and the front of the chassis coming to a point. Send me some picture and maybe I can help.
