I've had mine about six years and only changed the battery once. I use it 8-10 hrs a day. I had trouble finding the battery to . It was under the face plate!

I have a cheap 60 dollar helmet I bought from Harbor Freight tools made by Western Saftey. I've had it about 3 years now and I only use it about 10 hours per month if that and hasn't failed yet.
The only thing I don't like about it is the small opening 2 x 4 or what ever size it is instead of the larger one.

Mine has a battery in it.
I always check mine with a torch striker before I use it just to make sure. My eyes are already bad enough.

No, I bought it @ ''BOC Gas'' since changed to ''Airgas'' on Jefferson St.. It was a - buy a welder, get an auto darkening helmet free - deal.
