The aerated nozzle bodies are for either hat areas or n/a apps as they help to atomize the fuel and help to prevent the blower from sucking fuel out of the nozzle and causing a rich cond at idle as the hats are what it idles on. Except if you only have hat nozzles and no ports. Port nozzles use non-aerated bodies as they dont come into play until a preset pressure is reached and are under positive pressure instead of vacuum like the hats and the barrel valve also determines when the ports come into play as the port isnt aligned with the outlet to the port nozzles till around 40% opening.

Example: Old style nitro
Barrel leakage: 82%
Butterfly clearance: .019
idle check: 35lbs
port check: 6 lbs
990 pump@ 14% over
or 1100 pump@10% over no loop
32 to 3500 rpm idle speed

Blown Alcohol
Barrel leakage: 78 to 82%
Butterfly clearance: .011 to .013
idle check: 5 to 8 lbs
port check: 35 lbs depending on what staging temp you want and how much you have the barrel open
Waterman 22 gal@0 over with loop
17 to 2000 rpm idle

N/a alcohol
Barrel leakage: 25 to 30%
Butterfly clearance:.005 to.007
Idle check: 5 to 8 lbs
80A-1 6.5 gpm no loop
15to 1550 idle
