Tonight! Ray Godman and Preston Davis of the legendary Tennessee Bo-Weevil
fuel dragster and funny car fame stop by for a visit. Ray's cars terrorized
the southern United States (and elsewhere) from 1954 to 1979 with Preston as
the head shoe.
And Joe Morrison, who just won his 6th North East Timing Association Comp
Division event victory in the 2011 NETO season, will describe nostalgia
racing from the sportsman perspective. Joe pilots the COPD Foundation /
Nostalgia Wear 1948 Fiat Topolino Altered.
John Bockelman will take us back to 1972 in another great edition of JB's Picks.

and my brother Tim. Talked to lots of great friends: Mark Brewer, Ken Hall,
Mike Hall, Lou Sgro, Ron Capps, Bob Toth, Steve Leseur, Ted Wolf, Tom Stephens,
Matt Polito, Bob Frey, Larry Lombardo, Bruce Larson, Joe Lepone, Frank Manzo,
Todd Veney, and many others. Bob said call him this winter to come on!

First driver Red Dyer... 1960 in Detroit...
Flathead Ford..
Went to first Great Bend and won class... at 93 mph
Went to the next 29 nationals.. was regional adviser...
Gene Adams Albertson Olds Leonard Harris driver...
And the Dode Martin and Nelson Two Thang...
9.00 at 170 in his car to race the Albertson Olds...
Won a lot more than they should have won...
First car down the track at Indy at the Grand Opening! 27 T Roadster!
Bo Weevil... name came from Red Dyer... born on the Tennessee river...
Took chicken wire and made a cone front end for the roadster...
went to Oklahoma 1958... that thing looks like a Bo Weevil!
in 1972... ran both tf and fc and ran nhra AND ihra...
IHRA put on 25000 race at Tulsa... they went to both of them!
qualified Indy on Thursday, ran 6.54, then went to Tulsa, lost to mcewen in the
final, lost 6.61 to 6.66... then came back to Indy...
