Mr. Goodvibes

Here's where we go to kick back after the races with our pals. Pour a tall one, punch a few buttons on the jukebox, and relax...

Lately Mr. Goodvibes has been bothering both Debby and me. She got a new job that she started Tuesday. She woke up in the morning to find her stuff in disarray that she very carefully organized before she went to bed Monday night...last week I went upstairs to take a mid-afternoon cat-nap. Debby was already in our bedroom snoozing, so in order not to disturb her beauty sleep, I went into Kyle's room, kicked back on his nice couch, pulled up the black flannel blanket, and dozed off. I had been asleep for around 15 minutes (I rarely take naps longer than 30-45 minutes) and I was jarred awake by somebody poking me in the right shoulder, rapid-fire...5 times...and I heard the whisper, right up in my right ear: "It's HERE! It's HERE! It's HERE!"...I came fully awake and felt a whoosh. There was nothing and nobody there...but I sure did wake up from that ghost poking me and whispering in my ear.

Today I was upstairs looking in tupperware boxes that Debby put our important stuff in, under our bed. I pulled 'em out and had 3 of them open. I was looking for the title to my van, Ludwig, the 93 Chevy Astro van. I found it, and when I pulled the envelope out of the ziploc bag, the light in the bedroom turned off. The only way to turn that light off is with a remote control and there is no way it malfunctioned. I picked up the remote and turned it back on...that had never happened before.

I've confronted him on numerous occasions. We've all seen him. I just wish he would find peace. I'm going to look into finding out the history of this house...somebody must have died up there...the hidden room...the unexplainable incidents...it's just weird, I tellya. Cheers, WC1

Interesting stuff. I wonder if he's having trouble with all the change going on around there... bp

That's a good point, BP. Debby and I have reversed our roles. It's different now. He's used to seeing her here every day, all day...now it's me...he has made some very bold moves lately, just when I thought he had moved on. Nobody's been hurt at all, but Mr. Goodvibes does play games and gives us a jolt right when we least expect it. He's letting me know he's right there next to me. I've almost become Vincent Price-like when I go upstairs anymore, like I'm delighted to have my old spooky friend back...heck, that's the only way I can accept his presence and not freak out. Should be an interesting year! Cheers, WC1

Kyle stopped by yesterday evening on his way to a wedding. I took this picture of him standing in the Shrine to Bad Taste. Mr. Goodvibes showed up and posed with him. Cheers, WC1

That is quite a hairdo. He usually wears it in a ponytail. I think that's why it has that flip in it. He came by to have Debby straighten it for him. She did, too. She has tools to straighten hair with. As for Mr. Goodvibes, Nick told me today that Mr. Goodvibes is female. At least the one he sees all the time is. A female with long, black hair. Never a dull moment! Cheers, WC1

For Halloween this year, Debby got these little plastic characters...a pumpkinhead, a black cat, and a ghost. After Halloween, I quietly put the ghost on the bookshelf that's facing the upstairs hall. Yesterday it disappeared. I asked and nobody took it.
