Got some old dried ink today

Postby pro70z28 » Tue Jun 26, 2012 5:16 pm

I went to a buddies shop today & lettered an old 1/4 midget race caah. The guy buys & sells at swap meets & is off tomorrow to try to pedal the midget. While talking I told him my old panel truck was in Rod Action magazine back in the 70's. He said what year & month mag was it in? He took me to a back room that is filled to the brim with magazines all cataloged. He pulls out a November '78 issue & says here ya' go, I'll keep my eye out for more. That was pretty cool.....

Circled on the bottom right pic. is Cheryl & I sitting in the back of the panel. :D :D

It's great when stuff like that happens! I take it you didn't have a copy of the magazine already. Life is good!
Now: what if somebody located the panel truck and it was 4-Sale?

Thanks Everybody.

I have one copy somewhere. I bought them all off the news stand when it came out but over the years they slowly disappeared.

It went to Arkansas when I sold it, that was the last I saw of it. The buyer was a pipefitter working on an oil pipeline that went through here back in the 80's. He drove it home, it was very dependable. All it needed was gas stations.
