Hope you Guys have a great time.

Removed all the pavers by the entry door, raised and re-leveled the base and set them back, yesterday and this morning. Then tore out the bottom 2 steps, and put a concrete footing under those. They were tipping bad enough that the steps were getting a little dangerous in the winter. Monday the plan is to put a footing under the third step & reset the pavers around them. Then pull the pavers out on the ground level and get them back where they were 20 years ago. They have a pretty good sag in the middle. There's a storm sewer line, fed by the down spouts, that I think may be causing a mini sink hole. Then I plan to power wash everything to get the years of grim off & give them a coat of paver sealer to bring the original color back a little I hope. Then broom some paver sand in the cracks to lock them in place, hopefully good for another 20 years or until we sell the place.

Mornin. 62.2°f. Cloudy. Wind is out of the east @ 2-10 MPH. No rain so far, but there's a 97% chance for today.

It's Sunday, so I'm waiting for Cheryl to get ready  . After Church & lunch we plan to go to Best Buy to pick up a couple new phones. We both have Nexus's now, and both are having issues. With a full charge, my phone will be out of power within 3-4 hours. Cheryl is having battery issues too, but is also getting spotty service and misses calls. Best Buy has a Labor Day sale going on. We really don't want to take time out tomorrow, because I need to get the front steps back in service, so today is the day.

Great, Jack! Let's hope Hurricane Dorian lets us keep the event... Nice again here. Saw old friends yesterday for the first time in forever and had a nice time. Hope everyone is enjoying their Labor Day weekend. bp

Mornin'. Or closer to noon I guess. I'm tearing out the last of the pavers so I can re-level the base. Hope to at least get them all set back today.
Last night Cheryl and I each picked up Pixel 3A's. They're smaller and much lighter, so that'l be nice. Haven't had much time to mess with it yet.

Got pretty close to done on the front steps. Put a concrete footing under the last step early this morning,(in the fog). My back is telling me I probably shouldn't have.  Took a little over 10,000 Lbs. of fill to bring it back up to grade. Mysterious missing Material.
Pressure washer sure brought them back to life. I have some concrete sealer on the shelf I figured I'd use up on this job. When that's dry I'll broom in the paver sand. I also have a partial bag of lava rock I 'hink I'll pour around the gas meter, then it'll be a done deal.
27,000 steps today according to the fit bit knock off.

Really nice, Gary. Back to work for me today and Denise had kids at school for the first time this year. Summer is really over. bp

Thanks BP. Finished up an EEO board this morning. Now I'm spraying a coat of sealer on the pavers and retaining walls. Then I have (4) bean bag boxes to letter. They're give aways for a military service organization picnic this weekend. Then, maybe, the pavers will be dry enough to broom some paver sand into the joints.

It never ends! It was back to summer today with a high of 93, but will top out in the 70s tomorrow. Nice weather. Looking forward to seeing Denny and some of our funny car friends this weekend. Tia and family are coming, too. bp
