Howdy. Board was down for a while. Looks like Brian and Joshua have us back up. Thanks, guys. Have a great weekend, everyone. bp

Thanks to the DragList crew for the quick turnaround. Cloudy and 33°f this Saturday am. They're working on a couple punch list projects to get the downtown ready for paving the parkways. One spot, many decades ago, there was a corner gas station. There has always been a rumor floating around that the underground tanks were still buried there. Turns out that wasn't a rumor. I had to go out of town, so I don't know if they removed them or just filled them with concrete. As quick as they got the area covered back up, I'd guess they filled them. They stuck into the roadway some, but I think they're mostly under the sidewalk and maybe even the building that now occupies that corner.
Workin' around the house today. Maybe knock out a small sign job. Maybe dig out Christmas decorations, maybe. Do laundry while Cheryl is off. With the warm temps I sometimes put up them up before Thanksgiving so we're ready to flip the Switch next Friday.

Good evening. Rain here late afternoon. They finished the last of the first layer of blacktop today. The Lighting guys are back burying wire for the street lights on the east side now. Got some sidewalks to pour on the east side. Coming together, but then, winter is coming too.

Mornin'. Moderate rain right now .2" so far with 20 MPH wind and 43.9°f. I'm hoping to get to Centerpoint to install (4) 24''x18'' coroplast signs on the chain link fence at the truck parking yard. Wind is predicted to get up to 50+ as the day progresses, so if I can find a break in the rain I think sooner rather than later will be the plan. Or I may just kick that can down the road until after Thanksgiving.
Then I have a couple sandwich boards for a Christmas event coming up. I have prints printed, just have to laminate and apply to the substrate. Might take a stab at getting some Christmas decorations up, just have to see how the day plays out.

Got the signs up. Lite drizzle and wind gusts up to 50MPH made it interesting, but at least the truck parking signs are up. Got the Christmas sandwich board done and the city workers got it set up at the 4 way stop this afternoon. They're taking the barrels down tonight, much to the delight of the downtown businesses I'm sure. Still have another layer of blacktop to lay down at some point.

They're getting close. But the deadline is November, so that doesn't give them much time. Still another layer of blacktop needed, Street lights, Sidewalk on most of the east side. Landscaping. Might not get done tomorrow.

Good morning. Hope all are well and coming out of the Thanksgiving coma. We had a nice time with my Navy pal (and best man) Dennis over and some of Denise's teacher friends. Hope you had as nice a day as possible. A little more rest this weekend and then back to the grind! bp

We had I guess what would be called an abbreviated Thanksgiving. Hope to get a call in the morning, that will determine this coming week's schedule.
