Poem

Postby Music Chickie » Fri Jan 18, 2008 10:03 pm

Hey everybody. I found this poem on the internet and I like it. I just want everybody's opinion on it, to win a bet with my friend. So pretty please rate the poem from one to five!!!

Failure and Do-overs

I never have to try,
So I don’t.

I fail.

Now I know
I have to try,
So I do.

I fail.

I must not have been
Trying hard enough.
I try harder.

I fail.

I give up hope,
But I still say
That I try.

I fail.

I am told that
I have not been trying.
I cannot deny it
Because it is partially true.

I refuse to admit
That much.

So I try again,
To cover up that
I wasn’t trying.

I fail.

And it is my fault.
Not because it is,
But because it
Has to be.

When bad things happen,
People have to be
Blamed.

So now I know
That it is my fault,
Only because it is
No one else’s.

And now everybody knows
That it is my fault.

But I get to
Start over.
I get to start over
Because of
God.

Because do-overs is
What he does.
And what he gives.

And I am so
Grateful.
*hugs*
~Emily~
