An anti-roll bar keeps the chassis AND the body square to the ground. I am sure you have seen cars that launch with the left front tire way higher in the air than the right......an anti-roll drastically diminishes that keeping the front end pretty close to level....(On "my" car....the driver's side front tire comes up about an inch, the passenger side just gets the majority of weight taken off of it, yet it still touches the ground....{69 Notch-back Mustang, all tube chassis, fiberglass front end, doors and hood.....runs 5.70's in the 1/8th}

Another thing to check and make sure of....is the air pressure the same in both rear tires???......THAT will make one wiggle around on ya too.

The anti-roll bar acts "somewhat" like a torsion bar......except it is rigid, not spring steel like a torsion bar. You may have bad tires. Is the front end properly aligned?

yup.

I never thought to ask. What pressure are you at in the back tires? Too little can make the car unstable on the big end.

You may be on to something Gary, too much tire or too little air or not enough power to stand em up will make it very twitchy on the other end. :wink:
If you think it's exciting now, wait till we start it.

CH, I run anywhere from 9.5 to 10 lbs in my 33x10.5(w)x15's and have had some pretty good luck with that.......My 60' times have been very consistent (my last few times out) in the 1.23/1.24 range...no spin at all, just dead hooking.(thankfully :roll: )
