Hi folks. Just about to leave Jerry and Cheryl's... Cheryl made us a killer breakfast, which Jason could barely get down because of the killer prime rib dinner they treated us to last night! Thanks, Jer and Cheryl! We will be on the road at 11am and will be there by 3 ??? bp

Our days have been SO packed and have ended SO late that nobody has been on the computer! You'll hear reports from everyone, but let me say that this year's draglist nats was terrific. Not more or less than any other year because every year is different and every year is great, with a slightly different mix of people and circumstances. One constant was the absolutely royal treatment that Gerald and his staff granted us. They are the BEST. We had better than chamber of commerce weather... sunny AND cool... a great combination that had all the fast cars setting best ever times. The funny car match race included lots of out of shape runs and some breakage, but it was terrific nonetheless. And... the first round ETs were separated by a few thousandths! GREAT bench racing, lots of good food, lots of great racing, and even great fans. We put the draglist calendar posters at the souvenir shop as a free item and they were DECIMATED... so John's art and our cars are in about 100 offices and dens as of tonight. In what come as somewhat bad news to some members, we gave out ALL of the new red shirts. If there is interest, I may order a few more. I personally had a great weekend in that I got to: a) receive a terrific plaque for my fellow members, b) drive Wildcat's VW Bug on the strip, c) announce the funny car match race and the nostalgia super stocks, d) get draglist stickers on two nostalgia fuel funnies, e) sign Roger Stanke's golf cart right where some of the top names in the sport have signed (color me a bit sheepish on that one, but I did as requested), f) share the weekend with Jason, which was special to me, g) more, more, more to come... It was a super, super weekend. The wedding deeal went GREAT and much more. It's 2:25am and I am uploading over 800 Gena White photos to smugmug, so I need to wrap this up... will write more soon. bp
