Tell me about your kids...

Here's where we go to kick back after the races with our pals. Pour a tall one, punch a few buttons on the jukebox, and relax...

No doubt..
Kids definately make it more fun.
Ya know, people with kids always told me how things would change once I became a parent and I never thought I could be like that.

I was wrong.
He has taught me so much.
I thought I was patient, i wasn't.
I thought I was a responsible adult, I wasn't.

We were saddened last year by a mis-carriage but my wife is a trooper. She said that everything happens for a reason and that just wasn't our time. I am looking forard to another one joining the team sometime though.

Great posts, Doug. Thanks so much for showing us your little guy. The picture was just perfect in size and content. You're a great dad. bp

Doug, you said everything I said when my sons were that age, and then some. BIRP will grow up in his Dad's footsteps. As BP said, you're a great Dad, and these years that you and your wife have him all to yourselves will shape his life. It's the best gift that God can give to men like us. "Way to go" doesn't seem like an adequate summation of what I feel after reading your posts about Brian, but man, you are doing it right. No doubt about it. Cheers, WC1

Thanks for that Cat.
I don't know if I am a good dad or just a big kid with someone to play with.

I'll tell you one thing that is for sure. Everyone says your life will change but you don't understand until you have a child.

I do understand now. A little 7Lb. person relies on you from day one. Without you, they can't survive. That is pretty heavy if you think about it.

At the same time though... It's so cool as they grow and learn and develop.
I dunno.. I'm a pretty happy guy. :)
