Don't matter how slow the old truck is. You cut a light and run your number.
YOU WIN!!!
Way to go!

DOH!!!! .491 redlight in the first round today. Truck crept through the beams a little too much while I was trying to get a some preload on the convertor. Lost maybe one(or two) positions in the points but I guess that's just racing although that $300 win in the no box class yesterday eased the pain somewhat LOL. One good thing happened today though - I finally sold that AMC Hornet.

Yesterday and today kicked off my busiest part of the 2010 racing season. Next weekend we're off to Raceway Park, Prince Edward Island - the land of red mud, Anne of Green Gables and the longest running dragstrip in the Maritimes(40 years) One weekend off then Cape Breton Dragway's season finale goes Sept 18-19. The weekend after that we're at Greenfield Dragway in southeastern Nova Scotia and we finish our year at Miramichi Dragway Park, New Brunswick on the weekend of October 2-3.

All in all, it sounds like a great weekend! Have fun out there! That's great that you won 300 bucks and sold the Hornet! Life is good! WC1

My head photo guy Brian Smith made this up on Saturday when I won the No Box race. I think the Casella Racing hat gave me the luck. Sunday I had a different hat on and redlighted in the first round. Anyone want to guess what hat I'm wearing this weekend? LOL

Just landed back home after four days at Raceway Park, Prince Edward Island. Had a fun weekend in spite of all the problems I had trying to figure out the dial-in for a barn door in a hurricane. Wasted a .503 on Sunday when the remnants of Hurricane Earl made Big Blue break out by 2 tenths in the first round(DOH!!). None of us could ever remember so much tailwind at that track. Had a couple of .503 lights but couldn't get the dial-in right on Sunday or Monday. Depending on the wind gusts the truck varied almost 5 tenths at the 1/4 mile even though the 1/8 times were within a tenth and a half.

I actually went from early Friday AM to Monday PM without even looking at a computer. Felt good for once just to just kick back for the weekend with my buds - We just sat in the cabin, drank beer, ate burgers and bench raced our way through all the rain and wind and power outages on Saturday.

Sounds like a fun way to spend a weekend for sure! It's also nice to take a break from computers. Glad the weather didn't completely ruin the whole trip...Cheers, WC1
