I'd like to submit an update about our 2001 Front Engine Pro Nitro drag racing series.

We have a brand new date for "Hot Summer Nitro" event at Famoso Bakersfield Raceway. It is now JULY 28th one week after the original date. We changed it because there was another event in California that featured Top Fuelers on the 21st.

Pro Nitro's first event is at Southwestern Int'l Raceway in Tucson on May 26th, the "Memorial ThunderFest." Pro Nitro events feature F/E Top Fuel dragsters and Nostalgia Fuel Altereds both on Nitro and an exciting class called Blown Bad Boys. The BBB cars race on a 7.20 or 7.60 index and it's open to any year or type of front engine race cars. Pro Nitro Partner members receive free team passes and there is no race fee to race for possibly the best purse in the 7 second racing world.
