Personal Fireproof Driver

Here's something that always got my attention. Once Ed Pink and others realized I could be used as their "Personal Fireproof Driver" to use all their latest tune-ups on, as I would pull into stage, I would notice all the racers backing away from their spots on the guard rail and the photographers taking their places and shoving each other for the best spots.
I also would notice all the fire trucks start their engines to warm up and the fire guys putting on their gear. What a comfort that is for a driver. Also, right before you cackle the bitch, Pink leans in under the body and gives your shoulder strap that little extra tug. Kind of answers the question as to why I sign off on many occasions with "Sit Low" <G>
