NHRA Enjoys Historic Lunch

On March 13, a group of old-timer rodders and some current staffers at NHRA had lunch at the Tam O'Shanter Inn in Glendale, Calif. The occasion: To commemorate the signing of the original NHRA corporate papers: IN THE SAME RESTAURANT, TO THE DAY, EXACTLY 50 YEARS AGO. We were also seated very close to the booth in which the papers were signed. We had Wally and Barbara Parks, Steve Gibbs, Ak Miller, yours truly, Tom Compton, Shav Glick of the L.A. Times, Gary Dracy of NHRA, Phil Burgess, etc.
